Teacher chose textbook SIDE by SIDE 2 – 55 : Chapter 10 Page 99 – 101
Lyn 先生は仕事熱心で教養のある方です。元旦からスケジュールをオープンにしてくれていましたのでレッスンを予約したところフィリピンの経済環境について、とても貴重な話を聞かせてくれました。
フィリピンでは生活費が安いのです。住居は親の代からの持ち物で新鮮な食べ物は近隣から入手できます。
しかしながら給料が安いといいます。お父さんの給料は
10,000 psos(約20,000 JPN)
自然と輸入物や生活必需品以外のものには手が出なくなります。パソコンを買うといくらかたずねると、2017 yearから同じマックを使用していて50, 000 pesos したとのこと。（日本円で100,000)
月収10,000 pesos ではとても買えないです。
3%の金利で金を借りてパソコンを購入。設備投資です
公立小学校の教師で5万円の月収。Lyn先生も元、公立小学校の教員です。
オンライン講師の給料は8万円くらいで、これは、とても良い月収だと嬉しそうに話していました。
こうなると、フィリピンの公立小学校の講師はオンライン英会話へ流出してしまうのではと危惧します、、、が、、、💦
僕は自分の環境に感謝して、予約料金200円を支払います。

” bucket list “のトップに「日本訪問」が記載されているとのことでした。
” bucket list ” ??? と聞きなれないワードが出たので深堀しました。
★To do list との違いを調べました (Nativeに確認)
Bucket list – writing a list of things you wanted to do but never got the chance before. But, you still end up fulfilling those things before you die.
Examples for bucket list:
Travel to specific countries, learn to windsurf, climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, learn a particular language, go to your favorite group’s concert, run a marathon or a 10 k, go skiing in the Alps, visit Machu Pichu, etc.
To-do list – you jot down everything you have to do starting from the most important thing to the least important. You write it so that you won’t forget it.
yes a “to-do list ” is a list of tasks that you have to do for the day or month. It’s not for a long period of time like a bucket list.
Example of a to-do list:
Get pet food, get laundry soap, vacuum, buy some new bowls, clean out the car, get another skirt for work, etcetera.

僕はネイティブ・キャンプの無料利用を1週間して全世界各地にいるインストラクターが時間を問わずサポートしてくれるシステムを楽しみました。

TOEIC885、海外営業員として日本で英語を使って業務をした経験を25年持つので「大丈夫だろうな」と思いますので、応募してみます。
採用テストの出題形式はTOEIC-Part5 の4択問題と類似とのことなので問題集に取り組み中です。
いまは「講師受験生」として毎朝、Part5の練習問題とネイティブキャンプを1レッスン受講をしています。

講師との会話の中で、素朴な疑問が浮かんだので質問しました。
「兄弟姉妹」を英語でいうとき日本で言われている「兄弟姉妹」はどのように呼ばれているのかを確認。

「everyday と every day」の違い✍️
‘ every ‘と’ day ‘の間にスペースがあるか？ないか？で使い方が変わってくるので、授業で作文をした際に整理付けをしました。
〈 every＋時を表す名詞 〉で、every day「毎日」、every morning「毎朝」、every year「毎年」という意味になります。
everyday と間をあけずに綴ると、「毎日の、日常の」という形容詞に。
間違いやすいので注意しましょう！

One British Town With Three Nationalities
For almost 200 years, Berwick-upon-Tweed was the most important economic anchor in Scotland and one of the biggest ports in Britain. Merchants transported wool to France and other countries, and history claims that the port generated a quarter of the tax revenue for all of England.
Berwick-upon-Tweed has swapped sides in an economic and political tug of war between England and Scotland, an astonishing 13 times. Derek Sharman, a local historian, said, “Berwick was a ping-pong ball for centuries. It was captured, controlled, sacked, traded, and fought over, time and again. Both nations wanted control of Berwick. But these shifting allegiances have led to the town having its own unique sense of independence – and today there’s not any feeling of English or Scottish sentiment or nationalism.”
He added, “People here are genuinely first and foremost Berwickers.” Berwickers are proud of their third “nationality”, but because there is a lack of sustainable industry, they feel cut off economically. Also, the town’s isolation makes them feel psychologically cut off as if they live on an island or in no-man’s-land.
The River Tweed, which helped establish the England-Scotland border in its current form in 1237, flows between the two countries. “The border has never mattered to locals,” said Sharman. However, if Berwickers go to Newcastle, they are considered Scottish, and if they go to Edinburgh, they are English. The idea of three places, two nations, and one town makes sense here.
