★ レッスンで音読をしていて引っかかるところがあったので講師に確認しました。
“The question is why the word “school” is neither has an article – a – nor being plural form – schools -.
If it refers schools in general, it should be plural.
Or else it should be “the school” to represent as the specific place. “

— Grammer rules —-
RULE 1: The verbs like and hate are followed by either gerunds or infinitives with no change in meaning.
規則1:「好き」と「嫌い」の動詞の後には、動名詞または不定詞が続くことができますが意味は変わりません。
EXAMPLES:
like to work
or
like working
hate to work
or
hate working
RULE 2: The verb avoid is followed only by a gerund.
ルール2:動詞avoidの後に動名詞のみが続きます。例:運転を避ける
EXAMPLE:
avoid driving
★”followed by” 👉 by がつくので「動名詞のの後に続く」と誤訳しがちです。”followed by” は「〜についてこられる」受動態のイメージです

接続詞は文頭では使わない。接続詞なので二つの部を一つにする。状況と理由の二つの文が “because” を使用して一文で完結することが必要。
I learned that “Because…” phrase should be used for the question which is asking the reason why.
On the other hand, I also learned the word “because” needs to be put in the middle of the sentence but in beginning.
The attached picture shows the example of native writing, which tells the word “because” is located in the middle.
I would appreciate if you could give me a guidance of the correct grammar rule.
