ネイティブキャンプ記載の講師紹介欄に” bubbly “(元気な/活気ある)とありましたが、” She is very bubbly and a person full of cheerful high spirits. “日本における” bubbly “は(豪華だが短期間終了) と説明しました。

講師は日本語の「バブリー」はご存知なかったが” Economic bubble popping ” は通じました。

僕はネイティブ・キャンプの無料利用を1週間して全世界各地にいるインストラクターが時間を問わずサポートしてくれるシステムを楽しみました。

その際に日本人にも講師がいることを知ったのです。

会社社内でTOEIC受験のインストラクターをした経験のある僕は自分でもネイティブキャンプのシステムを使えばインストラクターができるかもしれないな・・

TOEIC885、海外営業員として日本で英語を使って業務をした経験を25年持つので「大丈夫だろうな」と思いますので、応募してみます。

採用テストの出題形式はTOEIC-Part5 の4択問題と類似とのことなので問題集に取り組み中です。

いまは「講師受験生」として毎朝、Part5の練習問題とネイティブキャンプを1レッスン受講をしています。

Level 7-9] Could Nakhchivan Be the World’s Most Sustainable Region?

Located between Armenia, Iran, and Turkey, you will find a place that boasts of farm-to-table cuisine, where civil servants perform unpaid manual labor on weekends, and whose residents proudly tie their cultural identity to a prophet. Yet, this place, called Nakhchivan, is one of the most isolated and unknown places in the world.

In 1988, when a war broke out, all railways and roads linking Nakhchivan to the rest of Azerbaijan were closed. Only two small bridges saved Nakhchivan from starvation and total collapse. Unwilling to remain economically reliant on bridges and neighbors, the Nakhchivanis began planting their own food and producing their own goods.

Nakhchivan is a fascinating case study in sustainability. Their ecologically progressive identity has become a source of pride to the region. It has adopted a strict no-pesticide, all-organic food policy. This philosophy ensures that everything from the sheep and fish they eat, to the herbs and produce they consume, all come from local farms, lakes, foothills, and orchards.

Nakhchivan is considered the cleanest city in Azerbaijan, thanks to public-sector employees who volunteer to clean the streets on their days off. Its airport, streets, squares, and housing complexes are spotless and tidy.

Nakhchivan is also home to a mausoleum where many people believe the prophet Noah is buried, and many Nakhchivanis will tell you that they are the prophet’s descendants. According to local legend, when the great flood receded, Noah’s ark is said to have landed on Mount Ilandag.

Outside Nakhchivan, you will find the Duzdag Salt Cave, a sanatorium built deep inside a salt mine where you can experience the benefits of “cave therapy.” Locals claim that its pure natural salt can cure a whole range of respiratory illnesses.

Nakhchivan is one of the world’s few examples of a loose economic autarky, where a country survives without much external assistance or international trade. It’s a place with an unwavering sense of self-sufficiency born from scarcity and necessity.
