ネィティブキャンプの講師になって経験400回余。

講師のビデオスクリーンに” Welcome “の字幕や星のマークがでていました。

初めてみた仕様だったので聞くとアプリケーション” Manycam “を使用して加工したとのことでした。

子供の生徒をスクリーンに集中させるための工夫だとのことで、アプリケーションの使用方法等、コツを教えていただきました。

僕はネイティブ・キャンプの無料利用を1週間して全世界各地にいるインストラクターが時間を問わずサポートしてくれるシステムを楽しみました。

その際に日本人にも講師がいることを知ったのです。

会社社内でTOEIC受験のインストラクターをした経験のある僕は自分でもネイティブキャンプのシステムを使えばインストラクターができるかもしれないな・・

TOEIC885、海外営業員として日本で英語を使って業務をした経験を25年持つので「大丈夫だろうな」と思いますので、応募してみます。

採用テストの出題形式はTOEIC-Part5 の4択問題と類似とのことなので問題集に取り組み中です。

いまは「講師受験生」として毎朝、Part5の練習問題とネイティブキャンプを1レッスン受講をしています。

日常だと聞き流してしまうフレーズにも拘って学習

Drive up means another term for drive-through.
Drive up means relating to banks, restaurants, and stores that serve you without your needing to leave your car:

Drive down means to some place) to transport someone to some place (as in town or away from home), or to a relatively lower place or to a place in the south.

What happens when a company that has positioned itself as family to its employees reveals that it is just a regular business with the same capitalist concerns — namely, survival — as any other?
Start-up companies often push “making the world a better place”-style statements to motivate their workers. But as the economic fallout from the coronavirus persists, these statements have been replaced with harsh realities like budget cuts and layoffs.
Ethan Mollick, an entrepreneurship professor at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, explains that companies with a “commitment” culture have the highest risk of losing what made them successful.
“Part of the compensation is being part of this family,” Mr. Mollick said. “Now the family goes away, and the deal is sort of changed. It just becomes a job.”
In many ways, Airbnb was the perfect example of a “commitment” culture company, as seen through the uniquely positive atmosphere of their offices. Employees surprised one another by raising their arms to form celebratory human tunnels, held dog “pawties” in conference rooms designed to look like actual Airbnb listings, and were serenaded on their birthdays by the company’s a cappella group, Airbnbeats. New employees, who were screened for empathy in job interviews, were welcomed “home” and told: “You belong here.”
So in March 2020, when the coronavirus arrived, the destruction of the family atmosphere was painful. Airbnb, which had been on track to go public in 2020, suddenly faced an avalanche of travel cancellations. Revenue evaporated and significant layoffs were announced, scaling back the company’s ambitions.
Kaspian Clark, 38, who worked in Airbnb’s customer support division, said he had fully bought into Airbnb’s mission and felt denial and grief when he was let go. “There are a lot of people who feel very betrayed by this,” he said. “I deeply hope that Airbnb is able to remain the thing that I believed in.”
